The No Surprises and Transparency Acts
Effective Date: 2022
In compliance with the No Surprises Act and the Transparency in Coverage Rule, Basecamp Advocacy, LLC is committed to ensuring that clients are informed of the costs associated with our services prior to engagement. While we do not currently bill health insurance or operate as a medical provider, we strive to promote pricing clarity and prevent unexpected charges.
Good Faith Estimates
If you are uninsured, out-of-network, or not using insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of any non-emergency services. Upon request—and prior to scheduling—we will provide a written estimate that outlines:
The anticipated scope of services
Associated fees
Any potential additional costs
This estimate is provided in compliance with Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act. You have the right to dispute a bill that is $400 or more above the Good Faith Estimate.
No Surprise Billing
While Basecamp Advocacy, LLC does not submit claims to insurance or bill through health plans, we comply with the intent of the No Surprises Act by:
Clearly outlining our fees prior to engagement
Not charging clients unexpected or undisclosed fees
Offering transparent, written communication regarding service costs
Transparency in Coverage
We are not currently an in-network provider with any health insurance plan. All services are self-pay unless otherwise specified, and clients are responsible for all charges associated with their sessions or programs. We encourage clients to contact their health insurance providers to understand coverage options and reimbursement possibilities for any out-of-network services.
